A domain name is the name of a website, for example:

Google.com

Also known as web address or URLs, they are also the addresses that you see or type in your internet browsers address bar.

A domain name can be acquired by registering it with a domain name registrar such as Domain Cart.

Domain names can have different extensions or TLDs, and some of these available extensions are: .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO or others available out there.

Domains are registered and renewed in an annual basis, from prices ranging from $1.99 up to $100 dollars per year depending on the type of extension you are registering, .COMs usually go for $10.99 or less, .NETs go for $9.75 and .XXX domains go for $99.99 per year.

There are also international domains owned by different countries for example .CO, .MX, .ES, .IN or .CR, these specific country TLDs are maintained by their specific countries.

Domains are usually purchased to start a website or to protect company or brand names, in other words if you own a company or brand you should register a domain such as YOURCOMPANY.COM, doing so will protect you from the possibility of a third person registering your desired domain before you do.

You can also register domain names to build marketing campaigns for specific products or services from your company.

To register a domain name simply go to DomainCart.com and start your domain name search now before someone else does.

The web is a very exciting place with hundreds of millions of people from around the globe searching the web every day, making it the world’s biggest marketplace for businesses like yours. The question is whether they find your business’ website? Putting your business online is like having a really big grand opening and people from all over the world can drop by, shop, and buy.

A good way to get noticed online is to occupy a bit of virtual real estate with a company website which can be anything you need it to be! From a simple presentation website to an art gallery with an invitation to visit the real thing, an online store or catalog lets your (potential) customers browse through your product line and buy online, Your website can also be a resource to educate and inform.

Whether you operate a bricks and mortar store or office, having a business online is an opportunity to tell customers about your business, products and services. If done right, your sales can go through the virtual roof!

Of course, having a website is not the only way to promote your business online. Consider directories or review sites where customers research and critique products and businesses online. These sites let people share experiences and rate your products or services with others interested in buying.

You can also sell products on popular sites like Amazon or eBay. These sites are like the super warehouse stores with giant market places where you can sell some or all of your products. Best of all is it doesn’t matter whether your business is large or small. Everyone gets to have a piece of the giant pie.

Now you have a website, your products are on review sites, and you’re selling on giant market places, what else can you do? How about creating a social profile for your business and start engaging with current customers and new ones. This will give you an opportunity to really see what customers think about you, your products and your business. You can also provide exclusive social media offers to your social network contacts.

It all begins with starting a website! Especially in these times, start taking advantage of the new stages of the web and engage in the digital era. Don’t be left behind!

Hope this article was helpful. If you have a question, or need to update or setup a new website, please feel free to contact me by going to http://www.andreeandassociates.com.

The Right Domain Name is an Important Cornerstone of Your Business
Acquiring a domain name is an important first step in building a successful online business.

Why is a domain name investment increasingly important?
A Good Domain Name Improves Marketing and Visibility

The right domain name is generally short, descriptive, and easy to remember. It gives customers and search engines an easy way to remember and find you. You can think of it as being the equivalent of a brick-and-mortar store in a desirable shopping district.

The Right Domain Builds Online and Offline Credibility

Using a premium domain for your website and your company’s email addresses helps establish credibility and professionalism, both online and offline. Selecting a memorable domain for your business, and investing in a professional website shows potential customers that you are an established, legitimate business.

Multiple & Keyword Rich Domains Provide Brand Protection

Your domain name should appropriately reflect your business name. Domains are valuable online real estate and are, therefore, in high demand.

Secure the right name early and keep it out of the hands of your competitors.

Securing more than one domain–adopting a “keyword rich” domain strategy in finding additional domains related to your business–helps protect your brand and increase your reach. For example, if your business name is Wally’s Plumbing–but your service area is centered on a few towns, you may want to purchase domains such as [town name]Plumbing.com.

Good Domains Get More Website Traffic

Some domains already receive traffic. This traffic principally comes from direct type-in or referral traffic. Direct type-in is when an internet user types the domain directly into her browser, such as typing ‘www.photography.com.’

Referral traffic typically comes from links on other websites. Good historical traffic and domain age are important to a domain’s authority, which influences SEO as search engines consider this data when compiling search results.

Domain Names Are a Solid Investment

Similar to real estate, domain names are investments. Domain values increase over time as domain authority grows. Considering that a domain is really an online storefront, it makes sense to invest in the best ”location” you can afford.

As you may already know this is the new sharing type app for Google, it’s pretty much like sharing with facebook but a little bit different. It’s simple for users and very simple to integrate in to a website or webmasters or systems administrators.

Google +1 button, the way I’ve come to understand it is that is basically a rating function for google, although the Google explains it is that it will be a way for your friends to recommend a website to you. Now I’m not saying it will affect search results, but it will most likely affect a user’s decision on were and were not to go when they see the +1 button on search results. YES! The +1 button will be displayed on Google search results so you better hurry and implement the +1 button in to your website if you don’t want to be left behind. Like I said before Google has not announced that it will affect search results, but I’m pretty sure that it will affect users decision of whether to click or not click your link and go to your website. Why? well it’s because each time a users see’s the +1 button in a search result, the user will automatically identify it and know that the website has been recommended, so the user will most likely click on a URL that has a recommendation again clicking on a URL that doesn’t.

How to integrate in to your website?
To integrate Google +1 in to WordPress if you have a WordPress enabled site only, simply login to your WordPress administrator control panel, after login go to your plugins section, click on the add new button next to the title and in the search box that appears around the middle of the site type “google +1” and click search plugins, you’ll most likely get a couple different results, I would recommend you install the one called “Google +1 Button” it’s very easy to use and it’s actually the one I have installed in my blog.

If you have a Joomla enabled website or an HTML based site then I would suggest you contact your webmaster or go to http://www.andreeandassociates.com for a FREE quote. It’s a pretty simple and very rapid process to do, and it’s also a pretty low cost mod to do, with a possible huge return on investment.

I’ve gotten many great replies and comments.

One of the most frequent questions that people ask me and often find amazing is: How are you making money on the internet? Believe it or not this is something really simple once you master the process. It’s basically about two simple things.

1.- Have the right product for your market at a great CRAZY competitive price.
2.- Bring the right traffic to your website.

You’re probably wondering about how to get the right products, and that’s actually pretty easy too, like many other business people you don’t have to build/maintain your own products, you can either sell other great products out there or you can just refer customers to other people and let them worry about customer service, billing and other. This is mostly called affiliate marketing or referrals. There are many great affiliate programs out on the internet for you to sign up and get great commissions on it, it just like selling an insurance policy, but easier!

Today I’m going to introduce you to selling domain names on the internet or right in your office. We at DomainCarts.com have a great domain name reseller plan that allows you to sell domain names either to your existing customers and acquire new ones.

What is a domain? A domain name is the name of your website for example: “DomainCarts.com” that would be our domain name.

Like other reseller plans there is a low annual fee of $69 dollars for the basic plan and $169 for the PRO plan. Both reseller plans enable you to sell domain names, as well as other products such as web hosting, virtual and dedicated servers, email services and a wide variety of technology services that most business already use in the present day.

Our basic reseller plans enables you to buy domain names from us at really low prices and sell them to your customer at the price you think it’s best, under you own BRAND, we have the best buy rates, support & value on the internet, and the best of all is that you never have to worry about customer support, we’ll do it all for you!

In fact you’ll even get your own online business portal for you to input orders or sell online.

Our PRO reseller plan enables you to get lower and better buy rates enabling you to earn more revenue and put more money in to your pockets!

There are no deposits, advances or revenue sharing, you set your prices, you decide your profits, and like I said before it features a pre-build fully customizable website, hosted in our world class data center.
We also handle billing and customer support, you just sit back, relax! And wait for your commission to be deposited on your bank account!

And we’ll even give you $100 dollars of Google adwords credit for you to jump start your online business.
Don’t want to sell online? Don’t worry offer domain names to your existing customers! Who wouldn’t want to own their personal name on the internet? I know I own it!

Think about it when a customer enters your business and you’re selling your products to that customer why not offer their name.com, or their businessname.com for an extra $10 to $30 dollars? I mean its extra money for your pocket!

And the best of it is that you’ll be getting money on AUTO PILOT to your bank account every time that he/she renews the domain name, and you don’t have to do anything! Just close the first sale, and we’ll do the rest, we’ll even call your customer in your behalf to welcome him/her and explain or clear any dudes he/she may have.

To start earning money online from your home or business on auto pilot and to learn more details about how to resell domain names visit the following link: http://www.domaincart.com/domain-name-reseller-plan.html

And this is the way I personally make money on the internet, even during recession times!

So it all started the other

day when I was redesigning my blog, separating it from my IT Firms website and making it a totally separate thing to be able to track my blog income and stats better.

I changed my blog from Joomla to WordPress and believe me it was a total pain you know were! jejeje But I finally got it going and while I was copying my AdSense codes from Google I noticed the AdSense for feeds feature, and I know it has been there for a long time now, but I just didn’t want to try it before.

I’ve seen many online broadcasts of people claiming to have earned thousands of dollars by implementing AdSense in to their feeds and I just didn’t believe anything, I mean it was too amazing right. But I finally decided to try AdSense for feeds and guest what.

Almost 2 days after I implemented AdSense in to my feeds I started getting extra impressions and clicks in my AdSense account, making me earn some extra cash. Now I have not earned thousands, but I’m pretty sure that at the rate this is going I will, just by blogging, wonderful right.

Anyway I just wanted to share this with you, and encourage you to add AdSense to your feeds. Look at it as an extra source of income, after all extra cash never hurts!

For more information on AdSense please visits Google AdSense website at:

Oh and don’t forget to subscribe to my feeds and comment on this and other posts.

Within the last six months, we at Andree & Associates had been working with many different companies in building better websites and driving significant traffic to their websites. With each website we initially started with the goal of building better search engine rankings, by doing some website re-design, search engine optimization and other. Along the way we found many different ways of driving traffic to their websites as described below.

Hope they work for you, the way they have work for my company and different clients.

1.- Event Coverage: this is simple try attending events that are related to your customer niche. Basically narrow your audience, target groups of people that have interests in certain things for example, Off-roading, insurance, lawyers, computer consultants, car racing, chamber of commerce meetings, or just business oriented groups. You can also narrow by county, city, state or country depending on your advertising budged.

So for example if you are targeting people in the car racing area you would need to participate in a car show, be a racing team sponsor, or just attend a local car racing event. Take pictures and notes and publish them on your website so people can browse the pictures and comment on them.

It’s very important to let people in the event know that you will be posting a review and pictures on your website. Also print some flyers and hand them over to help people remember your website address, if available create a special offer, something like “Browse the event pictures on our website after X or Y date and get 15% discount on any product” will do the trick.

2.- Graphic and web design: graphic and website design is a must, both your website and graphics need to be simple and to the point remember the old say “Keep it Simple Stupid”, no need for a really complex site or graphic. Get to the point! And deliver the right message to your customers. I know we’ve been doing a site re-design at DomainCarts.com for a while now and believe me the results are going incredible, each time we grow or change the website our traffic grows and grows.

3.- Leveraging Social Networks: there are many social networks and bookmarking sites out there, it’s not just facebook, twitter or linked in. There’s also Digg.com, Storyfollower.com, reddit.com, newsvine.com, delicious.com, buzzy.com and many, many more.

Post your links to as many social networks and bookmarking sites as possible, many of these sites will require you to create a FREE account with them, but hey let me tell you, it requires some time but the juice is worth the squeeze.

4.- Blogging and blog comments: Blogging is always a good method to bring extra traffic to your website, the problem with blogging is that many website owners don’t have the time or they just don’t know what to blog about when in fact it’s pretty easy, write about what you know or like, for example; I have a client that owns a cleaning company and they serve customers in the greater San Diego area, we currently maintain their website www.powercleanusa.com where we post blog articles about cleaning tips, these are then publish on social media sites and clicked by fans, followers, and also crawled by search engines.

5.- Offer something incredible: This is simple! Make people an offer they can’t miss, something like “Buy a domain name online and get 10% discount on all orders of $50 or more! At http://domaincarts.com/50w10off.htm” or “Quote your car insurance online at http://sameday-insurance.com and start saving money now!”

Similar or same offers can drive tremendous traffic to your website without too much effort and will get you results over time. The point is to get potential customers interested in visiting your website.

6.- Lead magnets: Basically a lead magnet is a special offer made for one purpose only, for example if you were in the need to build an email list you would them develop a graphic that could read “Signup for our newsletter and receive an instant 15% discount on any car insurance”, you would then print this as a poster and or a big banner an put it in your office entrance right by the door so every customer can read it and know what it’s about. Additionally let every customer know about this special offer that you have.

You don’t have to use a lead magnet to build your email list only, you can also use magnets to drive customers to your website but you would then change the advertising line a bit, a simple wording change can work! “Visit our website and receive an instant 15% discount on any car insurance when you quote online”

7.- Free classifieds: I know what you’re thinking! Really FREE classifieds!!! Well yes! There are many sites out there that offer free classified services, some examples would be: freeclassifieds.com, classifiedsforfree.com, craigslist.com and other services. This is great specially because it’s free advertising and you also get a back link to your site totally free.

8.- Search Engine Optimization: SEO the way I’ve come to understand it, it’s easy but it does require a lot of ongoing hard work and constant website content updates, it’s not just putting keywords on the website, it’s a lot more than that and my recommendation is that you should hire a professional to do this work for you. The whole idea about SEO it’s a simple basic concept: to focus your webpage content on the specific product or niche you’re trying to sell or go for. You can read more in detail about SEO in this blog.

9.- Search Engine Submitting: This is pretty simple, if you want to get your website listed in Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines around the world. It is not required for you to submit your website, most if not all search bots will find your website in time, but this could take months if not years, so it’s always good to submit it and let search engines know that you exist! There are many SEO companies or webmasters that will submit your site to search engines around the world for a small cost giving you the opportunity to be a little more prominent in search engine results, good SEO companies are usually around $29 to $69 per year or per submission. It’s always good to submit your site at least once a year. If you would like more information on this subject you can always visit our site at:

10.- Press Releases: Publicity is always good right! And press releases is a good form of publicity on the internet, it’s a form of spreading the word and letting everyone know what NEW thing/product/service/event you have in your company/business. Every time you submit a press release on the internet you get hundreds of back links to your site that generate more and more traffic to your website and we all know traffic equals cash! In addition once search engines crawl these links, your site becomes more popular on the internet and helps you with site ranking and other details. So who would have though right!

Facebook as a customer relationship manager, what?

For all of you who do not know what a CRM is, here’s a little description:

A CRM is basically a computer system build as a strategy for managing a company’s interactions or relations with customers, clients and sales prospects. In other words you use technology to organize and automate business processes, for example sales, marketing, customer service and technical support. The purpose of a CRM is to find, attract, and win new clients, retain those which your business already has, re-gain old clients and reduce your business cost of marketing, and customer service.

A CRM system will add several advantages to a company such as:

Quality

Efficiency

Decrease costs

Decision support

Business agility

Others…

Ok so this is very good right! Now how to use facebook as your CRM???

Well since the main goal of a CRM is to engage in to a deep long lasting relationship with your customer, what better system to use than a social network! You already have all the benefits such as:

Free profiles. - FREE usage, no payments, or maintenance, and you get to make the BUZZ for FREE. A CRM system would cost you around 1,500 dollars to implement, so you’re already saving money.

Contacting customers. - Since the main idea of facebook is to stay in contact with friends and each friend is a potential customer, then here you go! It’s an easy task. Additionally you have the option to view your friend friends, hint giving you the opportunity to gain more business and close more sales.

Communication. - Everyone has a wall were you can post messages right. Users are updating their profiles with basic daily routines; your business can promote events, share product information, offer discounts, and more. It is quick way to let everyone on your friend list know the up and coming news about your company. The goal is to always stay in touch with your customer so they can remember you when they need you.

Additionally there are many other things you can do such as polls, Facebook advertising, picture sharing and more. Note that if you were to have your own Facebook official business page you will have access to an admin view, where you can view the stats on your comments, and feedback percentage, helping you to make wise business decisions, regarding marketing, customer services, new product launches, and/or services specials, plus more.

So what we know is that a CRM is a system made to stay in contact with customers and new prospects, so why not use Facebook as a marketing and CRM tool? It has the same basic idea, it’s FREE and the results are amazing!!!

I’ve heard of friends that are already closing business deals and sales right on Facebook! Isn’t this beautiful!!! And what can I tell you about my business? I’m already closing sales through Facebook too!

So what are you waiting? Start racing on this fast and revolutionary freeway now!
